About the Founder
Jaime Goldstein, North Texas Center for Mindfulness Founder, began her mindfulness journey while finishing graduate school when exploring ways to more effectively manage the stressors of a busy life. She continued her mindfulness journey while working in the public schools over the next five years and felt the desire to share mindfulness with her students. During the last two school years she worked in the public schools, she taught mindfulness and yoga groups for students in Special Education and at-risk populations. Jaime was a recipient of a Lake Cities Education Foundation grant which she received to develop and teach a before school mindfulness program to Special Education and at-risk students called, Mindful Mornings.
Jaime is a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher and a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher trained through the University of California San Diego’s Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute. She has received specialized training in teaching children’s yoga and trauma-informed yoga. Through North Texas Center for Mindfulness, she teaches Jon Kabat-Zinn’s eight week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program, meditation workshops and retreats, children/teen mindfulness and yoga classes, and presents on mindfulness to various populations including educators and mental health professionals. She has a deep passion for helping others feel more empowered by connecting them to their natural inner mindfulness resources.
