TESTIMONIALS FROM MBSR PARTICIPANTS
"Are you over committed and super stressed? I was. That is exactly why I signed up for the 8 week stress reduction-Mindfulness class. It was life changing. Jaimie gives you tools to use on a daily basis. This is a class that you will take, but what you take away will last a lifetime. Self care starts with YOU! I had to carve out a few hours a week for me- which I rarely am able to do- and the class was well worth it! This space of time allowed me to- reboot-if you will...You are worth it!"

"I took the MBSR class with Jaime last year and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. Jaime’s passion and authenticity were clear from day one and she created a welcoming environment full of acceptance and non-judgment. As someone who experiences chronic anxiety, this was very important to me! I learned how to engage with my thoughts in healthier ways...ways that have allowed me to experience life much more freely and genuinely appreciate the present moment. I have since developed a deep passion for mindfulness myself, and it is a practice that continues to influence my life on a daily basis. It was truly an amazing experience."

"The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) class with Jaime has been a life changing experience. As a PhD level social worker and professor, I was not sure if I would learn a lot of new information in the course, however to my surprise, I learned so much about self-care and the many ways it can be practiced. Jamie and the course are just amazing! I learned how important it is to be compassionate with myself, many different meditation techniques and how beneficial a daily yoga/meditation practice can be to all aspects of my life. I am much more relaxed and mindful on a daily basis and much less reactive when faced with stressful situations. If you are consistently stressed with few ideas about how to manage that stress level, please consider taking the MBSR course with Jaime. Thank you, Jaime, for your thoughtful presence and leadership in the course."

MBSR is an 8-week course that teaches a form of meditation called mindfulness, which is the ability to skillfully direct your attention to the present moment. MBSR was developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1979 and is empirically supported with over three decades of research. Research shows MBSR improves emotional well-being, cognitive functioning, and physical health.
This course offers you a systematic method to better manage the stressors in your life and tools to access your inner resources for coping, growing, and healing. You will explore the interplay of your mind and body and learn how to change your relationships to your unconscious maladaptive coping patterns to life that are a hidden source of your stress.
Mindfulness allows you to reclaim your power when meeting stressful moments in life as opposed to getting tossed around by the waves of your emotions. It allows for greater clarity of mind, inner-peace, and emotional equanimity.
